Preheat oven to 350° F.
Chop mango into small chunks. Set aside.
Zest lime. Set aside.
Beat softened butter and sugars together until well mixed and fluffy.
Add in egg, zest, juice, and vanilla. Beat until well combined.
Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until you have a uniform dough.
Fold in the mango chunks until well mixed. If choosing to add chocolate chips, add here.
Drop by scoops/spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown along the edges. Let set for a minute or two before transferring to a cooling rack.
